Terms of service
Effective 10 May 2026
These terms (the “Terms”) govern your use of KAALOS, a business timing intelligence service available at https://kaalos.in (the “Service”). By creating a workspace or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation and the term “you” refers to both you and the organisation.
1. The service
KAALOS combines panchang, founder/team context, and calendar availability to recommend supportive windows for important business work. KAALOS is decision-support; it is not a guarantee of outcomes and is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, investment, or business advice. See Section 7 for the full astrology disclaimer.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use KAALOS. The team workflow is intended for consenting adult professionals only. Do not submit birth or personal data of minors, and do not submit personal data of any individual without their consent.
3. Accounts and security
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- You are responsible for the actions of users you invite to your workspace.
- Do not share a single account across multiple individuals — invite each user separately so consent can be tracked at the individual level.
- Notify us immediately at security@kaalos.in if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break the law, infringe intellectual-property rights, or harm others;
- upload personal data (including birth data) about anyone who has not consented;
- use astrological signals as the sole basis for hiring, firing, compensation, promotion, or any other employment decision;
- use the Service to make medical, legal, or investment decisions automatically;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass authentication or rate limits;
- resell or sublicense the Service without our written agreement;
- introduce malware or attempt to disrupt the Service.
5. Your content and data
You retain ownership of the content you submit (organisation profile, business vision, milestones, tasks, conversations with KAALA). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content to operate the Service for you and the people you authorise. Our processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy policy.
6. Third-party services
KAALOS depends on third-party providers including Supabase (hosting / database / auth), OpenAI (AI workflows), DivineAPI (astrology calculations), Google (Calendar integration), and Vercel (Next.js hosting). Their respective terms apply to your use of their services through KAALOS:
- Google services accessed through KAALOS are subject to Google's terms; KAALOS adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy including its Limited Use requirements.
- OpenAI and DivineAPI process inputs you supply for the requested calculations or AI workflows; we do not authorise these providers to retain customer data for their own model training beyond what their API terms require.
- If a provider is unavailable, KAALOS will fall back to a structured “unavailable” state instead of fabricating data — this is an intentional product safety property.
7. Astrology and timing-intelligence disclaimer
KAALOS uses panchang, kundali context, dasha, and other traditional Indian timing systems through DivineAPI. We treat these as cultural, spiritual, and productivity decision-support. KAALOS does not, and cannot, guarantee outcomes. In particular:
- Recommended “supportive windows” reflect a deterministic score derived from available calculations, business and team context, and calendar availability. They do not guarantee that the work performed in those windows will succeed.
- Caution windows reflect overlap with traditionally inauspicious periods (Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika, Varjyam, Dur Muhurtam, etc.). They are advisory, not deterministic claims about events that will happen.
- KAALOS frames timing as one input among many. You retain full responsibility for your business, legal, financial, medical, investment, hiring, and other professional decisions.
- KAALOS does not stigmatise individuals. Birth-time precision and consent settings explicitly reduce the confidence of chart-derived signals; managers see privacy-safe suitability summaries, never raw chart judgments.
- If you require professional advice — legal, financial, medical, investment, regulatory — consult a qualified professional in that field.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including the brand, design, code, scoring engine, prompts, and documentation, is owned by KAALOS and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any ownership of the Service. You may not remove copyright or attribution notices.
9. Beta status, fees, and changes
The Service is currently in beta. Features, pricing, and limits may change. We may introduce paid plans in the future and will give reasonable notice before charging existing users. We may modify or discontinue features for product-safety reasons (including expanding privacy or reducing AI exposure) without prior notice.
10. Termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion under our Privacy policy.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, particularly the acceptable-use clause and the consent rules around third-party birth data.
- On termination, the licence in Section 5 ends and we will delete your data on the schedule described in the Privacy policy, except as required by law.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of any information or recommendation produced by the Service.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KAALOS, its founders, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, business opportunities, goodwill, or savings, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹10,000 INR.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold KAALOS harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the Service, or your violation of any third party's rights, including in the data you submit on others' behalf without consent.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect our intellectual property or system security.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and via email to active users. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
